(Vampire Academy #6)
Rose Hathaway has always played by her own rules. She broke the law when she ran away from St. Vladimir’s Academy with her best friend and last surviving Dragomir princess, Lissa. She broke the law when she fell in love with her gorgeous, off-limits instructor, Dimitri. And she dared to defy Queen Tatiana, leader of the Moroi world, risking her life and reputation to protect generations of dhampir guardians to come.
Now the law has finally caught up with Rose – for a crime she didn’t even commit. She’s in prison for the highest offense imaginable: the assassination of a monarch. She’ll need help from both Dimitri and Adrian to find the one living person who can stall her execution and force the Moroi elite to acknowledge a shocking new candidate for the royal throne: Vasilisa Dragomir.
But the clock on Rose’s life is running out. Rose knows in her heart the world of the dead wants her back…and this time she is truly out of second chances. The big question is, when your whole life is about saving others, who will save you?

Have you finished Vampire Academy series? If not, then please… don’t bother.
I am happy to report that it is utterly disappointing, nauseating, and disgusting. What a f*cked up way to wrap up a supposedly great vampire series.
I didn’t even get what “Last Sacrifice” meant. Rose Hathaway is nothing but a selfish, over-the-top manipulative b*tch. The Rose that i admired in the first few books was dead and gone. Poof. I can’t believe Rose is supposed to be this heroine who saves them all when in reality, she just saved herself.
What Rose wants, Rose gets. She doesn’t care if her friends suffered for it after helping her so many times. Whatever happened to Eddie, anyway? She doesn’t care if she hurts Adrian over and over again. I’m not even Team Adrian! She doesn’t care that in the end, when she got her happy ending, everyone else around her is miserable. Go to hell, Rose.
Lissa, who I have no affinity since book 1, was better than Rose. and Dmitri…? No matter how you say that it is not okay to steal another guy’s girl, you still gave in. Hypocrite.
The mystery behind the queen’s murder is not even that good. Ugh.
Bummer. Six books in the series and it all came down to this, this despicable piece of crap. Last Sacrifice? Thank goodness this is the last book!
As for the Bloodlines series, I’ll stick to ebooks for that one. Don’t want to litter my bookshelf with another set of disappointments (should it come to that).
